By-election winner Len Harris

Liberal Democrats are celebrating a by-election gain from the Conservatives in the New Forest.

The win - in Totton's West ward - cuts the Tory majority on the Council to just two seats.

The result was :

Len Harris Liberal Democrat 535

Di Brooks Conservative 498

Alan Goodfellow Labour 79

Elected : Len Harris : Majority 37 votes

Turn-Out : 28.5%
